Unorthodox Christian Punk band Ape were formed in 2000 by Ed Green (Weeder) alongside Dave Atherall (formally of Yellow Ribbon) and Cameron Cooke (Seeker's former drummer). Ape are described as "tuneless wonderment" and were well known in the "Live at the villas" Brighton music scene for covering "Be Bold" by Morris Chapman.
