Prehistory: Salmon formed Perth's first punk rock band, the Cheap Nasties, in August 1976. The lineup was Kim Salmon (guitar), Rob Porritt (vocals), Neil Fernandez (guitar), Dan Dare (bass) and Mark Betts (drums).
