Born in 1982 in Lyon, France, Soulkut made its ranges on a classical piano at the age of 5. Early interested by black music (Jazz, Hip Hop, Funk and Reggae) he focused on Jazz and soon integrated a Hip Hop crew as a graffer and dancer in 1995.
